Welcome to Year 6
Welcome back after what is hopefully a well-rested half-term. it has been great to have everyone back in school.
Maths: In Maths, we continue to look at the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages and how we can convert between them in order to solve mathematical problems.
English: We have started our new unit on 'The Lighthouse' where we will be creating our own narratives based on the story. We are looking at using powerful vocabulary to hook and engage the reader and focus on creating cohesion within our work through well-structured sentences and appropriate use of language.
RE: In RE, we will be looking at what Christians believe Jesus did in order to 'Save' people.
Science: In Science, we will be exploring how light travels. Through experiments and testing hypotheses, we will identify how we can use light to our advantage.
Geography: In Geography, we will be exploring how the flooding of rivers impacts on people and how flooding can differ from different regions around the world based on geographical location and climate.
