Welcome to Year 6

As we move into the second part of Autumn Term, we look forward to the crisp, frosty mornings and upcoming festivities. please ensure that coats are brought to school as the cold mornings will ineveitably come. 

Year 6 are looking forward to all of the wonders that Autumn term will bring. 

Curriculum  

Maths: In Maths, we will be looking at fractions, decimals and percentages. 

English: We will continue in our theme of World War Two - creating letters and narratives that inform and entertain the reader. 

RE: In RE, we will be looking at what it means to be a Humanist in Britain today 

DT - In DT, we will be researching products and designing and creating our own waistcoats based on a  set criteria. 

Geography - We will be looking at how we can prevent a climate crisis in the future. 

PE: Forest school will now replace one of our PE slots and will be on Monday  - Please come to school in forest school kit and bring wellies in a seperate bag.  Our other PE day will be Tuesday and we will be doing fitness as our unit of work.

 Parent Showcase - History - We had great fun in our topic of Histroy. We invited parents to attend our 'Showcase' Where we got to show our skills and understanding of World War Two.
