Welcome to Year 6

Welcome back to school after a wonderful Easter break. We are looking forward to all this exciting and busy term has to offer. We will be well underway with preparations for SATs and also our end of year production of which we will be talking with the children about soon. Please ensure that children are in 'on time' and attend any booster groups that they are invited to, as this will help in the run up to SATS. As the term progresses, more information will be given to parents on the upcoming 'end of year' activities. Have a fantastic term everyone. 

Curriculum  Summer 

Maths: In Maths, we will be looking at how to calculate the mean along with position and direction and properties of different shapes. 

English: We will be looking at continuing to develop or writing skills in units such as, 'The Arrival' where children will create their own versions of a story. 

RE: In RE, we will be looking into what kind of king Jesus was and what he did to inspire his followers. 

ART - We are looking at how digital media can be turned into different art pieces and creating out own based on digital design.  

History - In History, we will be looking at how 'Legendary Leaders' helped shape how we live today.  

PE: In PE, we are developing our skills in tennis and athletics.

 Parent Showcase - History - We had great fun in our topic of history. We invited parents to attend our 'Showcase' Where we got to show our skills and understanding of World War Two.
